Modern design blended with old-world craftsmanship are instrumental to Edko's construction and remodeling techinques. Edko is a construction and remodel expert who has built his experience working in some of the most interesting places throughout the world. Edko got his start in the construction business doing internships through his school where it was required back in communist Czechoslovakia. These internships lead Edko to joining other craftsman in remodeling and rehabilitating castles and cathedrals througout Czechoslovakia.
After leaving Czechoslovakia, Edko was hired on as a craftsman in Italy to rebuild apartment buildings throughout the Italian countryside. While Italy was an intersting place, Edko was just waiting for his opportunity to move to the United States. His dream of moving to the US came true in the 1970's and Edko's first job here was as a plumber - installing pipes in new builds and remodels.
Edko has decades worth of experience in various trades and is knowledgable in working with a tremendous variety of materials using his techniques learned throughout his many experiences.
Edko likes to be completely honest and upfront with all of his clients and provides an competitive estimate that reflects his true craftsmanship and trade while including complete description of his work.
Edko's core belief with building in general and his work in particular is that it should be made with the highest quality with the utmost attention to detail, it should be completely thorough, and it should blend with the natural world. Edkos work and estimates are based on hourly rates that reflect the highest quality craftsmanship.
There are always the inevitable changes requested during the building process, and only hourly billing and materials will be included. If there are no add-ons and the project is completed in less time then client will pay for less labor hours - not the original estimate.
Unlike most contractors, material cost for each project are simply the discounted contractor costs that Ekdo pays - there is no "contractor's premium" fees.
A deposit is required upon signing the project contract and weekly payments are required based on progress of work completed and materials purchased.
